Drawn on a used cardboard fruit tray I found next to the bins in my street. Initially a monkey, the drawing turned out to look more like the street cats that hang out by the mentioned bins. Impossible to see from this angle, the drawing is more of a sculpture due to the tray's depth. Another major reason for depicting animals in my works is my lack of memory of anatomy. I work fast and out of memory, resulting in each viewer seeing and experiencing the painting in a different manner. I'm glad that is the case as I like the middle point between abstract and figurative along the other middle points I strive to achieve - in this case tension vs harmony, sculpture and drawing, painted and unpainted canvas and between manmade and readymade.
