War Composition II
- 2022

Acrylic on canvas

81.5 x 61.5 cm

War Composition II was painted in 2022 during a student exchange semester at The Glasgow School of Art. The work predates its later public presentation by two years. In 2024, the painting was included in the group exhibition Innocence Disrupted: Children in Wartime, curated by Ido Bruno. The exhibition brought together seventy artists from Jewish and Arab communities and addressed the impact of war on children living in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank.  The exhibition was presented as a public installation across multiple sites in Israel, including Habima Square, Tel Aviv; Amiad Center, Jaffa; Tsahal Square, Jerusalem and Paris Square, Haifa. For the exhibition, works were reproduced as large-scale banners measuring 185 x 114 cm. To accommodate this format, the original composition was digitally extended to fit the required dimensions while preserving the core structure of the painting.
